This page explains which cookies we use on peunde.ro, for what purpose, how long they stay on your device and how you can change your choice at any time. It complements our Privacy policy.
In short The site works fully even if you decline optional cookies. Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you press “Accept all” or explicitly tick the analytics category. We use no advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies.
Language This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Romanian version prevails.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit it. They let the site “remember” certain things between pages or between visits — for example, that you declined analytics.
The same category includes similar technologies such as localStorage, which we treat identically from a legal standpoint. We use localStorage to remember your cookie choice.
By who sets them, cookies are either first-party (set by peunde.ro) or third-party (set by another domain, such as Google). By duration, they are either session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent ones (kept for a set period).
2. The legal basis
Under Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004 and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, storing information on your device is permitted only with your prior consent, freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous.
Strictly necessary cookies are the exception — those required to deliver the service you expressly requested. They do not need consent, but must be described transparently, which is what the table below does.
We do not treat scrolling, continued browsing or closing the banner as consent. Until you make an explicit choice, the default applies: all optional cookies are declined.
3. Which cookies we use
3.1. Strictly necessary (cannot be disabled)

The Cloudflare cookies are set by the network that hosts and protects the site. They are essential for delivering pages safely and do not track your behaviour for marketing purposes.

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand how many people read our guides, which topics are useful and where visitors come from. The data is analysed only in aggregate.
We have the following protective settings enabled: Google Consent Mode v2 with denial by default, IP anonymisation (built into GA4), no Google Ads signals, no personalised advertising, and a data retention period of 14 months.
Google may transfer this data to the United States. The transfer takes place under the adequacy decision on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses. 3.3. What we do NOT use
To be clear: this site has no advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), no social media buttons that track visitors, no A/B testing and no heatmaps. We do not combine analytics data with the data you send us by e-mail, and we do not build individual profiles.
4. Fonts and external resources
Every resource on the site — the typefaces, the images, the background video, the stylesheets and the scripts — is hosted on our own domain. We do not load fonts from Google's servers and we use no external font delivery networks, precisely so that your IP address does not reach a third party just to display text.
Apart from Google Analytics, which only activates with your consent, a visit to peunde.ro generates no requests to third-party servers.
5. How to withdraw your consent
You can change your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it:
- press the button — available here and in the footer of every page;
- untick the analytics category and save your preferences.
Withdrawal takes effect immediately: we stop collecting and delete the Google Analytics cookies already placed on your device. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
We ask for your choice again every 6 months, and whenever we significantly change the cookies we use.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of the settings on this site, you can block or delete cookies directly in your browser:
To block Google Analytics on every site you visit, you can install Google's official opt-out add-on.
7. What happens if you decline
Nothing unpleasant at all. The site works in full: you can read every guide, see every page and contact us. The only difference is that we will not know you came by, and our statistics will be less accurate. We will not show the banner repeatedly and we will not restrict access to any content because you declined.
8. Updates
We will update this page whenever we change the cookies we use or the third-party tools integrated into the site. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the document.
